NextClimate empowers individuals, communities, and organizations to take action on climate change. We accomplish this in several ways. For example, we demystify the various technical and financial aspects of residential solar installations through presentations offered at community centers. We make it cost-effective for home-owners to go solar through tiered group discounts; and, where solar is not the best option, connect them with trusted energy-efficiency services and/or suggest other alternatives to contribute to the growth and spread of renewable energy. Finally, we inspire the next generation of green innovators at local schools by showcasing the latest research and advances in clean technologies.
Rob Pinder is fascinated by discovering new ways to help people save energy. Before founding NextClimate, Rob was a senior scientist at U.S. EPA and published more than 40 papers on air pollution, energy, and climate science. Rob serves as Executive Director.
Pavan Racherla works with large-scale utility companies on real-time integration of solar, wind, and other renewable energy sources. Pavan previously was a climate modeler at NASA GISS with a dozen or more refereed papers on climate change. Pavan serves as Principal Researcher.
We are a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization based in Carrboro, North Carolina.
Our Board of Directors include the founders and:
